Collection: Scallop Shell Trinket & Soap Dishes

Our scallop shell trinket and soap dishes are handmade using locally and ethically sourced Solway Coast scallop shells, carefully chosen for their natural beauty, shape and coastal character.

Each scallop shell goes through the same carefully designed 11-step Billow & Breeze process as our oyster shells, where it is prepared, sealed, decorated and finished by hand. Designs may be hand painted, decoupaged or created with coastal-inspired detail, before being finished with a beautiful protective coating and delicate gold or silver edging.

For this collection, we have taken the process a step further. The bases of these scallop shells are also fully sealed to create a water barrier, making them suitable for use as soap dishes beside sinks, baths or in cloakrooms, as well as for holding jewellery, keys, small treasures or keepsakes.

Each shell is naturally different, with its own curves, markings and texture, meaning every finished piece is completely individual. Practical, beautiful and full of coastal charm, these scallop shell dishes make thoughtful gifts for bathrooms, dressing tables, guest rooms, housewarmings or anyone who loves the sea.
